I am Elisabeth Dahlstrøm, a certified and ICF-accredited Neurolanguage Coach®, with a unique background as a Norwegian-American. I specialize in teaching English and Portuguese by applying a combination of coaching principles, neuroscience of learning, and my expertise in language teaching. This powerful blend optimizes the brain’s natural learning abilities, leading to truly remarkable results.
Neurolanguage Coaching® offers a highly effective and efficient way to learn a language. By fostering self-awareness and focusing on individual needs and desires, learners gain full autonomy and empowerment. They discover their own unique path to language mastery, learning not only the language itself but also “how to learn” effectively. With this knowledge, they can confidently continue their journey to fluency.
In addition to being a personalized and learner-driven process, Neurolanguage Coaching® accelerates language acquisition, making it a cost-effective option. As coaches, our goal is not to retain learners long-term, but rather to equip them with the tools and confidence to succeed independently. Learning through Neurolanguage Coaching® is a transformative experience at any age.
I founded UNIK LEARNING to offer this extraordinary experience. “Unik” means unique in Norwegian, and I chose this name because it perfectly reflects the distinctive and personal nature of Neurolanguage Coaching®. It is an approach that brings out the creative, bright, and unique brilliance in each learner—truly UNIK!

WHO ARE MY LEARNERS?
I am qualified to coach language learning to anyone, of any age, as a Neurolanguage Coach®. My experience has been primarily teaching English (my native language), but also Portuguese, and ranges from working with professionals seeking to improve their communication in another language to people with learning challenges. I am particularly skilled in teaching professionals commited to advancing in their careers, expatriates and their families, students studying or planning to study abroad, children, individuals with special educational needs, and advanced-age learners.
I encourage those in the later stages of life who wish to fulfill their dream of learning or improving a language to persevere through Neurolanguage Coaching®. Language learning is a timeless journey that offers cognitive, psychological, and personal benefits to individuals of all ages, especially advanced-age learners. The aging brain has unique qualities that can be harnessed for language learning with enthusiasm and purpose. Thanks to neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form and restructure synaptic connections, it has been proven that we are never too old to learn new things. This journey is an opportunity for growth, empowerment, and a deeper understanding of the world and its rich tapestry of languages and cultures. Let us remember that language learning has no age limit. It is a gift that we can unwrap at any stage of life.

PARENT COACHING FOR EARLY BILINGUAL LEARNING
In addition to coaching language learners, I now also support parents on the journey of raising bilingual children — especially in the early years when their brains are most open to language.
Through a series of joyful, science-informed courses, free guides, and low-cost tools, I help parents understand how their child learns best and how to create calm, connected language moments through everyday routines, play, and presence — wherever they are.
